Learning Goal
Working with a partner, I will use inquiry to conduct research on an assigned cultural dance form. Using my research organizer, I will gather, organize, and present information to describe the dance and its cultural importance. I will plan, rehearse, and present a brief (1 minute) demonstration of the dance to the class
Success criteria
Knowledge & Understanding:
I identify and describe aspects of the cultural dance that I have researched, including all elements listed on the graphic organizer (i.e. instruments, costume, history, significance, style).
Thinking & Inquiry:
I effectively use my graphic organizer to conduct research with a partner on my assigned cultural dance form by including at least 3-4 information points under each heading.
Application:
I apply my new understanding of the cultural dance to plan, rehearse, and present a brief (1 minute) demonstration of a combination of dance steps.
Communication:
I clearly organize and communicate my findings, using both my organizer and in my presentation to the class.
